Taunton hosts many events in the town
throughout the year. These range from
specially chosen nights for opening
over the Christmas period to local and
formal celebrations and entertainment.
Some of these affect opening hours.
These
events attract large numbers of people
to the town so we would suggest that
you allow plenty of time for your
journey and parking. To help motorists
coming to Taunton we have included a Traffic Management section on
this website called 'Expected
Disruptions', which lists all the
current road works and any other
traffic issues likely to affect your
journey here.
2008 Christmas Opening Times:
Late night Christmas Shopping in
Taunton Town Centre is every Thursday
from late November and there is Free Parking after 6pm. All shops remain open until 9.00pm
and the dates for Christmas 2008 are
as follows:

Thursday December 18th
Most of our stores are open on the
Sundays leading up to Christmas from
19th November from 10.30 to 4.30. Town
centre Parking is FREE on Sunday.
Most stores will be closed on
Christmas Day.
