Taunton is well served with parking. Whether you are a day visitor, shopper or commuter you are sure to find a parking option to suit your needs. Town centre public car parks are managed by Taunton Deane Borough Council while the Park & Ride service is controlled by Somerset County Council.

The majority of car parks operate the Pay & Display system of parking while the RingGo service allows for payment of parking tarrifs using debit or credit cards.
The Park & Ride service offers over 1600 spaces spread over two sites and is the most cost effective long-stay option. Transfer times are good, the Taunton Flyer service runs at a frequency of seven minutes during peak times and 12 minutes off peak.
Most on-street parking is short-stay with Pay & Display in operation. Some limited FREE short stay parking is available on-street serving East Reach.
