Taunton’s first Family Fun Day was held in 2009 – May Bank Holiday Monday in Taunton has never been the same since!
Celebrating National Family Week, 30 May – 6 June 2011 Taunton is to host its annual Family Fun Day on Monday 30 May 2011. The day long event is sponsored this year by Wellington Motors and media partner, Total Star Somerset.
Forget DIY, long traffic queues to the beach or digging the garden, gather your friends and family and head for Taunton. The Town Centre Company has teamed up with local businesses, sports organisations, craft & food producers, traders, voluntary & community groups and charities to host the third Family Fun Day.
Entry to the event is free and there is a decidedly chilled atmosphere. Live music has become a popular feature of the Fun Day which showcases some of the best youth and emerging music talent across the county.
The fun begins at 10:30am in the High Street and on Fore Street with activities and music performance all day.
With free workshops from FUSE and Creation Station, free music, free entertainment and great shopping; Taunton’s Family Fun Day is a golden opportunity to celebrate family life and keep everyone entertained over the bank holiday.
