Buses & Coaches

Ensuring that you arrive at the appropriate parking or dropping off area for the size of your vehicle is part of making your stay hassle free. Most parking can be found in the outer areas of the town centre's heart but only 5 minutes away from shopping areas and places of interest.

Parking For Coaches

There is a coach parking facility at Taunton Deane Borough Council's car park at Tangier, approached from Castle Street. This can be used for dropping off and picking up or for laying over. There is a flat rate charge of £6.00.

The town centre is 5 minutes walk away along Castle Street and either through Goodland Gardens or past the Bus Station and through Castle Bow.

Museum of Somerset located at Taunton Castle is now open  The nearest coach parking to the Museum and Castle is at Tangier car park.

Dropping Off A Group of Passengers

There are many bus stops throughout Taunton Town Centre but it is not recommended to use these stops as they are used by the local bus services.

It is advisable to use the Coach Parking Facility at Tangier to drop off and pick up passengers.
