No matter what you're into, Taunton has something to offer for an exciting night out. From restaurants to pubs, theatre to night clubs you won't be disappointed. And with a natural townscape that offers a comfortable circuit to walk you are sure to find a place that fits your needs and serves your favourite food and drink. Here's an overview to great nights out in Taunton.

Drinking
For a night out drinking Taunton really can't be beat. There are places that offer a quieter atmosphere and there are those that turn up the music to get you in the party mood. 

Places such as the Wetherspoons pubs (Lloyds and The Coal Orchard) are big places and offer a quieter atmosphere. Bars such as Brazz and the Firestone also offer a mellower atmosphere. For a more festive mood try the High Street and the Market House where you will find plenty of pubs offering extended drinking hours and a party atmosphere. Que Passa is just one of many. 

We also recommend a trip to Corporation Street where the Moat House and the Pitcher and Pianos offer very much the same. If you are making your way towards Dellers night club why not have a drink or two in the more traditional pubs along the Station Road area. Alternatively, East Reach and East Street also offer the traditional British pub and here you will find the Race Horse, which has a long standing reputation for its Guinness.

Eating
If it’s your taste buds that need the attention then Taunton has a wide range of eating houses and restaurants, all ranging in expertise and price. So whether your looking for that fine cuisine or fast food Taunton Town Centre offers all.  

For restaurants with international flavour it’s worth looking at Station Road and East Street where you will find an array of choice and atmosphere, for that exclusive touch try the Castle Hotel, Brazz or the French Connection who offer fine food and wine. Then there are the wine bars such as La Bon Vie, Millers and others that offer that wine bar atmosphere.  

If it’s cuisine that offers a more casual atmosphere try some of the public houses that offer food such as the Moat House, The Kings Arms or the many others spread throughout Taunton’s townscape.

Theatre & Cinema
If you like to be entertained by others then why not try the range of performances and film that Taunton has to offer.  

For theatre there are two places to consider, the Brewhouse and the Tacci-Morris Arts Centre. Both offer a wide range of performances including concerts, plays, stand-up and much more. The cinema is always a place to consider and Taunton’s Odeon offers a wide range of films throughout its multi-screen complex.

Live Music
Live music throughout Somerset and Taunton is offered at a wide range of venues.  There are pubs that offer music to the smaller crowd while other venues offer their music at specialised locations.

Specially Organized Night Time Events
Throughout the year Somerset and Taunton offer a range of activities and events that happen at night. These range from Concerts in the Park to night walks and celebrative dinners. And all information on these events can be found at Taunton’s Tourist Information Centre. We encourage residents to also contact the office because you will be amazed what you can do. There is literally something for everyone.
