2013 Taunton Family Fun Day - High Street

10.30 am - 4.30 pm, Bank Holiday Monday 27th May 2013

Sponsored by Orchard Shopping Centre

The event will begin at 10.30 am and will close at 4.30 pm with over 60 exhibitors geared towards family friendly activities and much of this is free (a charge will apply to some activities). With live music, performance and entertainment, craft workshops, market stalls, trade stands, also children's rides, climbing wall, circus skills. hog roast and much more.

A leaflet has been produced with more information about the event and is available on-line and from libraries and the Tourist Information Centre in Paul Street.

SOMERFEST - A MID-SUMMER CELEBRATION

10.30am to 4.30pm

Visitors can expect a feast of sound, colour, sport and more when a celebration of midsummer - Somerfest - comes to town in mid-June, harnessing the energy generated by the massive success of the Torch Relay when it came to town in May last year.

The day - June 15 2013 - will also focus on the easy links between Taunton's central open spaces - Castle Green, Goodland Gardens and Somerset Square.

The free event will showcase performing arts organisations based in Somerset, but working throughout the region and nationally
